Drag Racing Hub — Privacy Policy

Drag Racing Hub ("the App") is developed and maintained by Robert ("we," "us," or "our"). We operate in the United States. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your choices regarding that data.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

• Run logs and time slip data that you enter

• Weather and atmospheric calculations

• Notes, vehicle profiles, and personal settings

This data is stored locally on your device. The App does not upload your run logs, notes, or vehicle profiles to our servers. However, when you use features that require network access (such as weather lookups or AI-powered analysis), limited data necessary to provide that feature is transmitted to the relevant service provider as described below.

2. Data Collected Automatically

When the App makes network requests (for example, to retrieve weather data or perform AI analysis), the following information may be transmitted as part of standard network communication:

• Your device's IP address

• Device type and operating system version

• App version

• Request timestamps

• Location coordinates (only when weather features are used)

We do not store this data on our servers. Third-party providers may retain server logs for reliability and security in accordance with their own policies.

3. Location Data

The App requests access to your device's precise GPS location in order to retrieve accurate local weather and atmospheric conditions relevant to drag racing performance calculations.

• Type: Precise (GPS) location

• Purpose: Weather and atmospheric data retrieval only

• Storage: Location data may be temporarily held in device memory during use but is not permanently stored on our servers

• Sharing: When you use weather features, your coordinates are sent to a third-party weather provider to retrieve local conditions. The provider's own privacy policy governs their handling of this data

You can revoke location access at any time through your device's Settings. If location permission is denied, weather features that depend on GPS will not be available.

4. AI-Powered Features

The App includes two optional AI-powered features powered by Anthropic's Claude AI (anthropic.com):

AI Assistant — Provides drag racing advice and tuning guidance based on your data. When you use this feature, the following information may be sent to Anthropic for processing:

• Your chat messages and questions

• Vehicle specifications (year, make, model, engine details)

• Current weather and track conditions

• Recent run history and timing data

• Saved tune configurations

Time Slip Reader — Extracts timing data from photos of your time slips using optical character recognition. When you use this feature, photos you select are sent to Anthropic for processing.

Both features are optional. Your explicit consent is required before any data is shared with Anthropic. We do not send your name, email, account ID, advertising ID, or device identifier as part of either AI feature. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising. Anthropic's handling of data is governed by their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services to provide core features:

AccuWeather — Provides weather, atmospheric, and elevation data. When you use weather features, AccuWeather receives your GPS coordinates and standard request metadata. No personal identifying information is shared. AccuWeather's privacy policy governs their handling of this data.

Anthropic (Claude AI) — Processes AI Assistant requests and Time Slip Reader photos on a remote server. Receives only the specific data described in Section 4 — no personal identifiers are included. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy.

These providers may collect standard technical information required to deliver their services. We do not receive additional personal information from these providers.

6. Tracking

We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. The App does not use advertising identifiers or participate in ad networks.

7. Analytics and Advertising

The App does not include third-party advertising. The App does not currently use analytics tools. If we add analytics in the future, we will use it to understand feature usage in aggregate only. We will not use analytics for advertising or user tracking across apps and websites.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data:

• All network requests use HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit

• Data stored on your device is protected by your device's built-in OS-level encryption and security features

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

All user-created data (run logs, time slips, vehicle profiles, notes) is stored locally on your device and retained until you delete the App from your device. We do not retain copies of this data on any server.

10. Cloud Sync and Account Features (Planned)

In a future update, the App may offer optional cloud-based features such as data backup, sync across devices, or sharing. If and when these features become available:

• Cloud features will require you to explicitly opt in (for example, by creating an account and enabling sync)

• Your data will not be uploaded without your active consent

• Data transmitted to and stored on our servers will be encrypted in transit and at rest

• You will be able to request deletion of your cloud-stored data at any time

This privacy policy will be updated before any cloud features are released.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If account features are introduced in the future, users under 13 will not be permitted to create accounts. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

12. Do Not Sell or Share

We do not sell or share personal information as defined by applicable law.

13. Your Rights

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by deleting the App from your device. You may also contact us to request deletion of any account or cloud data if those features are introduced in the future.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, particularly when new features are introduced. Any changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
